“Keyframe Killa” Lyric Video

SCHOOL OF MOTION PROJECT

A project from my After Effects Kickstart course where I was tasked with animating lyrics to the provided music track, “Keyframe Killa”. The goal was to create kinetic typography in ways that would match the energy and emotion of the lyrics while keeping in rhythm with the beats of the song.

I was also responsible for choosing the overall color palette and typefaces for the video. I chose 2 fonts that felt very contrasting in style and weight so it’d be clear which words were being emphasized to match the emotion in the lyrics. We weren’t required to include graphics, but I opted to wherever I felt it would be a fun choice and wouldn’t take away from the lyrics.
