Step Three

SCHOOL OF MOTION PROJECT

A project from my Animation Bootcamp course where I had to animate a “4-step” video, with the missing step 3 being the creation of the video itself. The goal of the project was to think about each motion choice I was making; I had to determine if the animation I planned to create actually made sense, or if I was just animating something for the sake of making it move.

I thought the sequence in which things appeared for each step was important since the video is teaching the audience how to do something, so I tried to think about how I’d interpret the steps or be confused about the process if things appeared in one order over another. I also thought about timing; I didn’t think the animation for one step should take too much longer than the others, especially when it’s meant to be a quick video.
